（1） The wire rope shall be inspected before use.

Inspection scope: check the wear, corrosion, stretching, bending, deformation, fatigue, broken wire and rope core exposed degree of steel wire rope to determine its safe lifting capacity (including scrapping).

（2） Precautions for maintenance:

(1)The service life of the steel wire rope has a great relationship with the service method. Therefore, it should be used according to the regulations. It is forbidden to drag or throw. Overload, sharp angle bending, sharp change of lifting speed and impact load are not allowed during the use;

(2) When the wire rope has rust and ash scale, brush and oil it with wire brush;

(3) The steel wire rope shall be oiled once every 4 months. When oiled, it is better to soak the rope core with hot oil (about 50 ℃), and then wipe off the excess grease;

(4) After the wire rope is coiled, it shall be placed in a clean and dry place without overlapping and stacking to prevent sprain;

(5) The end of the wire rope shall be tied with steel wire or welded with alloy with low melting point, or hooped with iron hoop to prevent the rope head from loosening;

(6) In use, if there is oil drop extruding on the surface of the steel wire rope, it means that the steel wire rope has borne considerable force. At this time, stop increasing the load, check and replace the steel wire rope if necessary.
